Friday the 13th.

Friday the 13th. Such an auspicious day, is it not?

Both 13 and Friday the 13th have been surrounded with mystery and superstition for centuries.

How ridiculous are such notions that a certain day of the week and a certain number can be related to evil and superstition?

Lets look at the number 13 first. Tall buildings skip floor 13 on their floor number recording.

Such a sneaky trick! The karmatic superstition gods that monitor such things would definatley be fooled by such a head-fake.

Honestly, most people who find 13 to be unlucky have no real reasoning for this, except for the fact that they hear other people say it is, and perpetuate it even more. 13 is said to be unlucky because of the Mayan Calandar taking us to 13.0.0.0.0 on December 21, 2012, and because of the lunar cycle, and all other nonsense.

If you ask me, 13 is a great number. For example, if it were unlucky, then 13 on House wouldn't be Olivia Wilde:

But hey, maybe I'm wrong, and because my blog started on Friday the 13th, it will spontaneously combust.
